WebApr 27, 2012 · Ford specs for the 2v 5.4l is 13 lb fts, the only engine i use anti seize on is the 3v 5.4l, and at that i never use it on the treads of the plugs, only the extenders that stick in the head. Hope this is what you were needing to know. Ford has had the issue for a long time of spark plugs blowing out on the 2 valve motors.

I agree with him that the threads don't strip due to over tightening, but they strip because they wallow the threads out when they come loose.
