Truck engine wont heat up
WebDec 5, 2010 · 2. Dec 5, 2010. detroit michigan. 0. My c15 engine was just inframed with a rebuilt cat head and new thermostats but will not build up enough heat. It runs about 170 degrees while driving and will only run about about while idling. I have a winter front and cardbord blocking 80% of the radiator. I at a loss why it wont run hotter. WebJul 29, 2024 · We replaced an engine in a chevy astrovan about ten years ago. I checked her water and there wasn't any at all in the engine. I asked her "was it leaking" and she said "yes but it stopped". Obviously it stopped. It was out of water. In her case the block was cracked requiring an engine replacement. It's possible it may start when you add water.
